Of course i wait on the very hour to complete an assignment or project. Why? because i always feel like i have all the time in the world. =)
In my mind time moves so slowly as though the minute and second hand of the clock is in The slowest motion. "Am i Hallucinating?" I wish!
Then Reality sets in & time starts flying like bats on steroids & your world starts spinning
grruhhh..
You begin to stress out x6354627281612!!!!
So what do you do when you are overly stressed? When you just want to say "Fuck It!" but you can't just abandon the task.
1. Organize the Time you still have.
This keeps you in check. It helps you maintain a sense of being in charge of your task. You ultimately want to feel like you have the time in the world to finish your task and not have a feeling of being rushed. Having a time slot of what you have to do will help you cross out items off your time sheet. Which makes you feel like a BOSS! =)
2. Deep Breaths & Optimism.
When you feel like you are bouncing off the wall! Heart beat racing! Panic attacks! All you have to is chill the fuck out. Breath in! act like you are a prego who is in labor & do the breathing "EEee-Whoo" exercise!. If you have no one to encourage you & tell you that you are "AWESOME!" & "You can do it!" & "it's NO Biggie!" Then look in the mirror & tell your self that! reassure your mind & body. Say. "(Name) You Can Do THIS!" then smile. =). Mind over matter. It will reduce your stress.
3. Scream or Slap yourself!
When stressed you feel under a lot of pressure. So why not just explode? Get it over with. Release that unnecessary pressure like you are poppin' champagne!. Scream, Cry, Slap yourself? what ever makes you overcome the feeling of drowning. When you are done with that, I bet you a red face that you shall feel a whole lot better and more at ease towards completing your task.
Drinking helps relax the mind & body. Drink tea, water, coffee, a shot (Don't get Drunk). What ever is your preference. When you feel relaxed, body in its regular motion then you can accomplish your task gracefully. It's important not to take too much caffeine although it's a good energy boost but when under stress it's not a good combination. It will only make you more stress by overexerting the brain & its hormones.
It's so easy to be distracted especially when stressed about a specific task because the mind just does not want to deal with it. Avoid it at all cost!. You want to focus your time & energy on your task not on Facebook, the football game, twitter or that funny video you have been dying to watch on YouTube -___-. Cut it out & Focus!
When you are stress it has a toil on your health. We all want to be in the best Health & Wellness state as possible. Besides no one wants Wrinkles!!!!.So when you find yourself panicking & screaming "Why ME LORD!"
just remember what Cynthia said & just chill the fuck out!
